Help! I can't login to my account!

I've been trying to login for an hour already..I keep getting"login failed. The system is logging you out right now. Your account will not be available until 2008-12-19 09:45:26 Pacific Time" Every time the login failed the time gets pushed back.


The weirdest thing is it actually says I'm online on my friends contact list! Does that mean my account has been hacked?

Can someone please tell me what to do???

I'm trying to log in again now but still can't! I had just rented a shop and was just putting stuff up when I got disconnected. So I was not doing anything bad when it happened.

I actually created a new account and went to my shop and i saw my avie standing there FROZEN

I've looked everywhere..could someone be kind enough to tell me what it is that I should be doing right now in order to solve this?????

Try getting the sim restarted if possible.

You're ghosted. There a few things you can try that sometimes helps. If you can log in with your alt again and find your ghosted avi try pushing..........that will sometimes cause the LL servers to recognize that the avi is not there and log it off. Try paying your avi $L1........that too has helped some in the past. An IM will sometimes work......try that. If you have ejection rights on your rented space as your alt you can try ejecting yourself (though, I doubt you have those rights with a brand new alt). Try contacting the owner of the land.......have them eject your avi. And if you are on a private sim contact the owner of the sim and request a sim restart (that will always clear the problem). If on mainland put in a support ticket requesting a sim restart.

I tried everything you mentioned in your post Peggy unfortunately nothing seemed to work. When I tried to push my avie, I just went right through it though (that's what you meant by 'pushing', right?). It doesn't move or anything. I've also tried to contact the owners of the sim unfortunately they are not online right now. I guess I'll have wait till they get back..

Hope I get my avie back...I can NOT imagine not be able to use it again...

Well sooner or later you will get logged off. However, I've heard of people having been ghosted for days. That was quite a long time ago (maybe over a year) and I don't think it happens much at all anymore. There was one time I got ghosted and it was the next day before I could log in..........which I think is pretty much about as long as most have had to wait. I don't know if you are on a private sim but if you are on mainland a support ticket asking for a sim restart is generally treated by LL fairly quickly...........so put one in as soon as you can. But, if on a private sim you will need to contact your sim owner. Try sending him/her a notecard since IM's could get capped and they won't get your request.

Goto secondlife.com/support and submit a ticket under technical issues & can't login. Let them know your AV is ghosted and which region. Linden will restart the region and your AV will be logged out. If the region is part of a private estate, the estate owner or estate manager(s) can restart the sim as well.
