I just grabbed a Geforce 6800 ( yes it rocks) and when I turn on Ripple Water, the water completely disappears. I haven't upgraded to Directx 9.0c so that may be the problem. Anyone having this problem?

Yep, I have a 6800 GT, and get exactly the same. Mind you, I don't regard it as a problem - water ripple looks pretty bad IMO.

Yeah I never turn it on myself. It has a weird metallic look to it that feels unnatrual to me. it'd be awesome looking if SL were some alien planet with a sea of mercury.

That's exactly what happened on FX cards, before it was disabled for them. The 6800 is probably based on the FX cards. That's why it's happening..
