Crashing constantly

HI

SL keeps crashing on a regular basis, for no apparant reason i'm not doing anything out of the ordinary, it's a new computer running vista home premium whether there are some setting not right I don't know if any one cud help me out i wud be grateful )

I've also been getting frequent crashes with 1.19.1 RC - "stack heap library" errors, with abort/retry/ignore messages. They steal focus, and once they start coming up, they don't stop until the client exits.

(I'm back on the Nicholaz viewer until LL puts out something less crashtastic.)

Im in the same boat but i don't use the nic viewer.....1.19 has me crashing every time i tp, regardless if it's from a friend or on my own, then i have to log in and out for approx. 15 minutes to get back to normal, switching between home and last locations as logins to ensure i can get back SOMEWHERE. I'm completely addicted but Im at wits end. I'm commiting SL suicide if it's not resolved before the next update. Either way- we're all screwed.

It seems quite a few folks are haveing the same problem including myself, and it seem everytime SL makes a new release it still got bugs in it, i thought that was the whole point of having beta testers to test things out b4 they bring out a new release. And what i also find is that even if you want to stay with a stable release after awhile you get forced to upgrade else you can not log on. i find that apain, as ever since ive uploaded to the 1.19,1 realse i have experienced so much problems than i have b4, my first problem is that when i log on and as soon as i hit on my video i lagg so bad i can not move until the video plays and it takes so long , once the video starts playing it works ok i can move do watever, Ive never had that problem b4. my other problem is that i also get the error message about out of memory i have 4 gb of memory my graphics is geforce 6800 xt,512mb split over 2 graphic card never had a problem before i uploaded to this realease. and my last problem is that i could be at a sim say like camping and just be there for like 10 mins or so and when i go back say like im sitting down when i go to stand up nothing happens, i can move the arrows to look round but i cant physically move, one time i was camping for over an hour b4 i relised that i had crashed. Any help or anything would be apreciated. Oh i cleared my cache i upped my band with i tried all what i could think of other than unistalling sl and getting a hammer to it lol thanks in advanced

still getting that stack heap library" error too. I know my pc is fin (game developer.) I don't know why this problem keeps happening in SL for me.

Besides the asset server problems, this stack heap thing is really a showstopper.

Nothing we can do about it and it just seems to happen at random.
My friend and I get this problem a lot too, at least 4-5 times a day.

i thought i was the only one with crash problems but i see im not..i use vista too and pc is new and i dont have many programs installed...but this laggin and crashin a lot.if some1 has an answer fot this problem that could help us..pls dont keep it for you..we(the crashers) really need some help

For some time now, and two computers,it seems this new SL viewer has a problem with Nvidia graphic cards.

Mine's a GM8600 and I had a HP and now I'm using a Vaio,so I don't think it's from the computers!

Has someone a solution?!

No, if they did they would have posted it already.

Adding a question like that on to the end of your post is redundant, as the fact that you posted in the first place implies you would like a solution.

I can honestly say most people are avoiding this thread as well. Simply becuase this thread has become a collection of new people asking ten diferent questions about what they don't reallize is actualy ten different problems.

"HELP SL IS CRASHING!!!111" Is not a fixable problem.

Please if you have a problem, -start your own thread- and be VERY specific about the following:

1. Your hardware. ("new computer with vista" is not enough detail!)
2. Quote any and all error messages exactly as shown.
2. Describe in detail every action you made up to your problem even if it seems irrelivent.
