About to install my videocard - a question

The manual suggests disabling onboard VGA capability from the mainboard before installing the videocard. How do I do that? (Windows XP here)

bugging out here.....my new videocard, which is Albatron nVidia GeForce FX 5600 128MB AGP sounds pretty tough to install.....I got it from ebay for $70, it only came with a cable. So Im trying to figure out which drivers to download and which cable goes where *pulling hair out*
(a smart girl would wait for her boyfriend to come home and help, but I gotta have everything right away :roll eyes

I think so far I understand the simple installation steps...but Uhm.......The manual says I should attach the monitor cable to both?? the VGA output connector AND the DVI connector. Is that's possible?
Now, the S-video cable...I know where it goes onto the videocard, but what do I connect it to?
I don't think I have the VIVO cable, so skip that.

About downloading drivers, since I don't have the CD.
Is it enough to download the NVIDIA driver? Are there more things I should download.... the manual also mentions Overclocking Tools.

Also...(sorry!) .... In the Settings, after I install everything, what should I configure? Things like Horizontal span, Clone, and Vertical span ring no bell for me.

LOL, dont make such a big deal out of these simple things
Plug in the card, download the drivers from nvidia.com and thats it!
It will work great, and if its not broken, dont fix it

That stuff you're listing only applies if you have more than one monitor. I'm assuming you don't?

Actually Catherine, I have six monitors all around me. That way I can really feel that I'm there, you know what I mean?
