Clothing texture bug

I can't remember which patch it was, but ever since one patch months ago - probably just after summer - I've had bugs to texture based clothing. I can't adjust the area that the texture covers at all with appearance anymore. It covers the full area it's able. Even things I've bought long ago and never adjusted.

If I wear any shoe then it'll reach up to my waist like pants unless it has transparent textures on the template. If I have a pair of gloves that I put on then unless it has transparency all on the template aside for the area it's suppose to be then it'll cover my entire torso.

No one else seems to have this bug far as I know of, but they all can see my wardrobe malfunction. I hoped it'd fix itself like many SL bugs do but I'm starting to think it's just me. many times I cleared my cache and browser in hopes it'd be fixed. I just now completely uninstalled SL and reinstalled it, but the bug still affects me.

Has anyone had this issue? Any advice to fix it?

I believe it's an issue with newer (later than 175.19) Nvidia drivers.

CTRL-ALT-F7 turns off palletized textures (Nvidia dropped support for them in their drivers, for some reason). After this you will probably have to rebake, and maybe adjust the out of control clothing item to get it back to normal.

You will need to do the CTRL-ALT-F7 every time you start SL, as it's not a setting it remembers.

It's supposed to be fixed in the RC viewer.
