I set up a second avatar, and I was amazed at how fast things load. When I go back to my first avatar, it takes forever.
I have cleared my browser cache but nothing helps.
How do I clean up in SL? Will anything help?

It may be that your first avatar is wearing a laggier outfit. I have 3 accounts I mainly use... Sometimes even 2 at a time windowed side-by-side. As long as we're all dressed the same, I never notice a performance difference. (^_^)y

If by quicker loading you are running only one client and solely using the single new avatar, it could be because your inventory is not near what your regular avatar has.
A humongous inventory has a large effect on your load time.... /note to self - it's time to clean inventory again. _____________________

I tried this as well..
Two sessions, two different characters, with some interesting results. I have a machine with two 8800GTX's.. If I have them in SLi config, and run both clients on the same monitor, I have no issues at all. If I take the machine out of SLi and run one client on one monitor (each on one of the video cards, not both on one) then I get graphical corruption issues where the second AV loads in pitch black. No clothing, skin, or tat layers load. I have noticed that sometimes, one of the two characters will have a little latency with things loading, ie; one will load things more quickly than the other. Haven't nailed down the issue, but I am steadily working on it.  |

the lag would most likely be generated from your attachments, flexi hair and over use of scripts (the 'bling' particle script is a popular one that causes alot of lag from a constant listen) are usually the culprits. -Crunch _____________________
