for the past day, i've been having a weird occurance, where i'm online, inworld, and i will suddenly lose connection. everything else i have connected to the internet stays fine, but i sit motionless and unable to move a few seconds before i realise i'm not getting data from the server. and it's not lag, cause no amount of waiting brings it back. any ideas?

Sometimes it's a server crash.

Kento:
Without more information, there's not a lot we can do. Servers do crash now and then, and your description of your problem would fit with that. Are you always in the same region when you crash out?

Kento,
I've had this happen a number of times. I'd have my statistics window (ALT-1) open as usual and what happened during those times was that transferred data streams dropped to nothing or only flickered occasionally up to, maybe, 5kbps. I always just assumed it was some sort of transient net failure, although as I recall the ping times stayed in their usual 140-180ms range.
That's nothing conclusive, although you may wish to watch your stats and see if they are similar when/if this occurs next.

well, i turned on the stats viewers and here's what i saw. everything completely normal, then suddenly, an immense packet loss. it subsides and the stats go back to normal, but i am no longer connected to the servers. it's as if it forgot i was supposed to be there.
