SL won't allow me to log in, because I'm already online

The system is logging you out right now.
Your Account will not be available until
2008-09-06 12:55:34 Pacific Time.

This is the default message I get when I want to log in. However, friends in my friendslist say I'm already signed on. Looks like SL didn't sign me off properly the last time.

Normally, talking to an offline person would update the status of the person and the "Second Life: User not online - message will be stored and delivered later." message will appear. Not to me this me.

What I tried?
- to remember where I was the last time when I was online, but that's pretty hard when you were RL in some not-approachable condition in the weekend, believe me.
- send myself IM's, TP's, I've even rung myself (and yeah! someone took up the Voice dial, but it was mrs. "The mailbox is currently unavailable, goodbye!";).
- checked my chat history if there's any sign of location in some history file.

By the way, nobody can see me on the map and offline messages won't be dropped in my mailbox by default. I don't think somebody hacked me or something, because I'm still able to log in on the SL website. I changed my pass just in case.

Does anyone have an idea to help me out? I just want to sign off!!!
Any help would be great!

Have you tried logging in to a different sim? I think that forces the sim that claims you're there to recheck and own up to the fact that you're not really there.

It does not do this anylonger. seems after 3 server version before this current one it would. I tend to get ghosted in my home sim a bit and it always needs either a restart of the sim or having to pull the pay yourself with an alt or im yourself with the alt or have your freinds do it till it kicks you off. Once you do get in move to a diffrent sim (if home) and set your home someplace else making the (forgot which server it is that holds that) server change your login/start option.

- Yeah, I've tried to log in into another sim, but that still doesn't work.

Btw: yesterday I went offline suddenly and I immediately logged in to check where I were. However, I was where I thought I should be. So I turned on the "Can see me on map" option for another account, so I could stalk myself with an alt.
...
Next day I wanted to log in and same stuff happened again :/
"Your Account will not be available until.." bla bla lba. So I checked out where my avatar should be standing (with my alt) and yeah, he's totally out of grid. Zoom out and you'll see this:

Sorry for the big pic, but resizing didn't work.

I found myself on the place I logged out. Some people call this a 'ghost' appearance, cause I'm all grey and phantom.

Is some Linden able to kick my butt over there?

this happened to a friend of mine actually, best thing to do is to get the Sim owner to reboot the sim, this should clear it.

He was suspended in mid air and you could fly through him. If you are a premium or concierge customer of course if you contact the lindens directly through the support system they will solve it.

tnx pnc, this gives me hope. Allthough I've contacted over 20 Lindens and they're all in Busy mode or refering me to the Support site, I'll give it a try...

Seems like the residents rely too much on Lindens in times of need.

Take heart. Next week there are scheduled restarts for all regions on the grid for server code updates.
