Dakon, could you give us a bit more information, like what video card you have, how much system ram, etc.?

Try updating your Radeon drivers. Also, if that doesn't help, e-mail Support@SecondLife.com for more help. Good luck!

I'm willing to bet you have anti-aliasing turned on in your ATI control panel. To avoid the black screen you need to make sure your anti-aliasing settings are set to "Application Preference" in the OpenGL ATI control panel. This is a problem i've run into as well with my 9700 pro.

Go to your Windows display properties (just right click on your desktop and select Properties). Then go to the Settings tab and then click the Advanced button. You should then see an OpenGL settings tab somewhere in there. Then look under the Smoothvision II area and you should see checkboxes for Anti-Aliasing. Just make sure "Application Preference" is checked.

While you're at it, you might make sure you have the latest mouse driver. Leave no turn unstoned.
