I am not going to explain how a reg cleaner works but I can advice you a very useful tool that will make your whole system run more smoothly and it comes with a reg cleaner and many more things, easy to use and now I shut up and give you just the name.

It's a massive, complicated place where you can really mess things up unless you know what you are doing.
