Say you have an object in world. You release it so that someone else can take it over. You get $6 per prim back when you release. The thought is you get the other $4 when they delete... but in this case, they don't delete, they claim it (Paying $10 per prim) and you lose $4 per primitive. If someone claims your released object, you should get the rest of your cash back.

I agree. Our team (for the new territories projects) was creating a scale model, and to get the whole thing linked (see Josh's post about linking objects owned by team memnbers) /13/c2/1358/1.html, we had to release all the objects to let one member claim them, then link them. We all 'lost' money in the deal.
