I will start to play and the graphics are ok then after playing about 10+ mins the graphics get bad. My graphic card is a Sapphire RADEON x800 GT and its driver is up to date. Is their any way to fix this.

Disable OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects. In SL, go to the Edit menu, Preferences, Graphics, click Hardware Options and uncheck the box for Enable VBO. That should take care of it.

I don't know whether it's the latest viewers or if it's because I finally abandoned my ancient ATI driver and got the latest legacy one for my crummy old video card, but I had the most intense case of weirdness when first running viewers now before I get to the Graphics Hardware Settings Enable VBO switch.
Must be jarring to new users. I haven't seen it much over the years, though the weird triangles have appeared from time to time, mostly I've been able to keep VBO turned on. It's present incarnation is really intense. Not just a few triangles here and there. It seems like LL might ought to make the default setting disabled for old ATI cards like the x800. _____________________

It seems like LL might ought to make the default setting disabled for old ATI cards like the x800. I've been saying that for years. As soon as ATI hardware is detected, VBO's should default to off. But, see, that would actually make sense. And we're talking about SL. _____________________
