OOPS!!!!....I deleted my own Group from my groups list. ( yeah I know what you're thinking : WTF did he/she do THAT for? ) I,being the owner of Group and land can't get back into my own group.( or can I ) What can I do here....Is it as easy as creating a new group or ????????...and what happens to other members of my group? TY in advance SL ers

When you left, ownership would have reverted to someone else. Have that person invite you back and reinstate you as an owner. If you're supposed to be the sole owner, then the other owner will have to withdraw voluntarily from that role. One owner cannot forcibly remove another.

If the new owner is not amenable, there's really nothing you can do. I know you don't want me to say this, but really, be more careful next time. That group list ain't no joke.

I did this a while back and put a ticket in and LL fixed the issue for me, but I suspect I got a freindly one

I wasn't aware that group ownership automatically changes to someone else when the (only) owner leaves... how does it determine who becomes the new owner? Join date, permissions, randomness?

Thanks for your reply Chosen Few & bigmoe.( Perhaps it needs to be noted here and now , there are only 2 of us in the Group ) The other Member was made owner in my absence. Following your advice the new Owner invited me back into the group. worked perfectly...EXCEPT They dont seem to be able to make me Owner again. They're the owner and I'm now a member , Though in "About Land" I show as Owner....In "Group Information" I show as a Member....I confess that I've never been all that comfy nor fully understood exactly how "Groups" works...I appreciate your input, Its MOST helpful.

I'm not sure how it chooses, Keira. I think it goes to the first person made officer, or if there are no officers, to the first person to join. I'm not certain, though.
