Just wondering...........
Why is it that when you rent land that is group land do Radios and TV's have to be deeded to the group to work.
When everything else with scripts seems to work fine and you can manually put in Music and Video URL's into the ABOUT WORLD page.
Why is this?

Why is this? Because only the owner of the land can change the media. If the group is the owner of the land, then the object must be group owned (deeded).

I can accept what you say, but it seems odd that you can manually go into the ABOUT WORLD / MEDIA page and edit (add) in a media link and it works (well the radio does anyway) SO I can change radio channels to whatever I like "by hand" Just not by using a Radio (script)

The system isn't so detailed as to check if the owner of the object has the right permissions at any given time to do it. It is a flaw in the system, and maybe they'll get around to making it simpler, but for now that is how it works.

Radios use land tools. As such, any user must have the correct permissions.
There are different combinations for radios on SL land.
1- Agent Owned.
This is where land is owned in the name of an avatar. Only that avatar may rez radio scripts. If that owner wishes anyone to use the radio, they can set the group share option, to any common group. Properly written radio scripts usually use llSameGroup(), which only listen to group members with active tags. If the radio share is set to "None", an avatar also set to "None", will be same group.
"Deeded" radios will not work on agent owned land.
2- Estate Owned.
If an owner rents land to your group, they have the option to allow "deed objects" in their management tools. Ask your landlord, if you are unsure.
3- Group Owned
Land owned by a group, must have the radios "deeded" to the group. This is because (in theory) you don't own it... the group does. Radios deeded to a group usually require the operator to have their group tag active.
This presents a problem with editing notecards. Avatars cannot edit deeded objects. There are two ways around this issue.
1- Selling the radio back to yourself. This is prefered, because it leaves the radio in place and does not mess with the permissions. Simply edit the notecard and re-deed the radio when you are done.
2- "Take" the radio into inventory. This will require it to be re-rezzed for editing, but the notecards may adopt "no modify" permissions depending on the object's previous permissions.
As a rule of thumb... avatar, radio and land must all be same group.
