Well as the title says, I've been unable to start up SL. When I start it it loads throught the first few screens,"Loading Second Life" "Detecting Hardware" ect ect... and then when the login screen would usually appear, nothing happens. Instead SL seems to be running in the back ground. It is listed under the Processes in task manager, but not the applications tab. If I try to run it again it tells me "Second Life is already running..."
I don't know what to do, nothing seems to be working. I tried unistalling/re-installing. I even tried a system restore to when I know it was working. Nothing seems to help.
My only theory is that an anti-virus program deleted a needed file, though shouldn't the system restore fix that? If it is possible that that's what it is, how can I go about a system repair?
Any suggestions?
