I've been running it for quite a while and have not noticed any problems.

Doesn't work well with Novell. Barring that it seems to be fine for home.

Ever since I downloaded it (non-secondlife computer), the computer has been sluggish at best, freezing quite often, and Macafee crashes about 5 minutes after startup. MS already has found security holes in SP2(a security centric update), and will be releasing them next tuesday (second tuesday of every month rule). I would wait.

Pepper,
I got it by going to Windows Update to download it on the one computer I did not have autoupdate turned on. As far as SL and SP2, there are no issues at all. It will ask you the first time if you want to block SL -as long as you say no, you should have no problems. I have been using SP2 on multiple computers for months, and have not had any problems, even with the betas. Now the Second Life software on the other hand has gone to hell recently - it looks like 1.5 rectifies some of that however. _____________________

Mcafee was listed as one of the program that is not SP2 ready (and a horrible crashy buggy program at best anyways IMO)..I used NOD32 fast, small, and just virus no other crap and SP2 version is in beta and running fine (worked fine with SP2, but update makes it control center compatible). |
