Hello,

My lady has a problem with her pc. I helped her try all kinds of stuff but the issue remains. She sees large clouds on her screen (see attached pics) and only disabling particles helps to get rid of them. The only particle in this picture is a tiny blingscript in my necklace. But she sees this also when there are no particles around.

Video Card: Geforce6100PM-M2
Motherboard: Asus EN6200LE TC1G/TD/512
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Brisbane 2.3 GHz
RAM: G.SKILL 4GB (2x2)
System: XP with sp2

What we tried so far:

Clearing cache and relogging.
Updating video drivers.
Reïnstalling SL.

She had this issue on 1.21 and 1.22 viewer, no change between those.

Anyone has any ideas?

The pics:

According to SL System Requirements, the minimum supported card in the GeForce 6xxx series is the 6500. Your card is not officially supported.

Having said that, your card DOES support OpenGL 2.0, which is the API Second Life is using in its viewer. So, while your card is not officially supported, you might have some luck if you update your graphics drivers. If you are already running the latest graphics drivers, then try scaling back a version or two.

ETA: If your card is sharing system memory (Shared Memory Architecture - common with embedded or integrated graphics chips), then try increasing the amount of memory available to the graphics chip.
