The last update on 8-18-04 was supposed to address the issue of crashing during the precachine phase of the log in. It seemed to work the first time, but I am only able to log in now after 10 or 15 reboots of my computer because of locking up during the precaching.
Is anyone else also experiencing this problem?

In the Mac version, SL was crashing for me durring the connect at different times. I tried rebooting and clearing out my cache, but nothing worked till I minimized the window to the dock until enough time had passed to get me in-world, then I expanded it and all was okay. The next time I tried logging in, it worked fine.

Alexander, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling SL?

Yes, I have. I also contact tech support. Apparently, SL no longer supports the Via/SG3 video card. So I am S.O.L. and they get my money.

got same problem first time I got logged in but then I was stuck afther some time and then I just logged out and try to get back in but didn't work here have tried several times but not working it just keep on preparing inventory so I just gave up afther a few times restarting pc and sl hope it will be better tomorrow

What motherboard and CPU do you have? You should consider upgrading your video card to meet the minimum specs. A Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 can be had for as little as $50 USD. |

The 1.5 upgrade has gone somewhat badly, so some people are having problems logging in. There will be a patch to fix it and a number of other issues tomorrow morning. |
