Inventory gone after account reactivation

Hey guys.

To me, it really doesn't sound very feasible, but I am just so upset about it.

I created an account on 1/31/06, played for over a year, and then took a break. When I changed banks I forgot to put a new card on it, so my account was set for cancellation/deletion. When I reactivated it (a week ago), not only was 80% of my money in a bank (which folded with the whole bank crisis), all of my inventory was gone, and my contacts cleared. I don't mean this to be a sob story, I just am unsure.

Is there any possible way that my inventory can be reverted or something if i call LL? I am just upset about how much real money I put into the game, only to have it all deleted.

If you can help, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Were you premium or Basic account, apparently only premiums get wiped while basic/free accounts are preserved till the yeare 3000

I was a premium user. I was getting 500L a week. I am aware that if I had downgraded it would've been preserved and it's just kicking me thinking about it. I didn't have funds on the credit card to do it.

I don't mean to sound rude, but obviously. My account wouldn't have been deleted in the first place if I was basic.

Linden Lab could retrurn your inventory but they won't. They should have never re-activated the avatar if it could not be bought back whole. Their blatant refusal to assist a paying customer is astounding.

Especially when you spend hundreds of your own real dollars.

It really upsets me.

This is what is on the "cancel my account" page (if I click it today). It clearly spells out how long my items will be held in the SL database. Looks like they keep it for 6 months, that seems quite fair.

Still Want to Cancel?
If you still want to cancel your account, click on the cancel button below You can reactivate your account by 2008-10-10. Your Second Life name, avatar and inventory items will still be yours if you reactivate before 2008-11-08. You will need to create a new account if you decide to rejoin Second Life after 2008-11-08.

A few times... It's an added "perk" of being a paid account since they're the only ones who will ever have their L$ balance and inventory purged :(.

Unless it's been less than 90 days since your account became inactive, everything is gone, sorry :(.

Thank you guys for your help.

Not only that, but also my funds are gone since the folding of all major banks in SL.
It's disappointing.
