For a week now we have been having problems with about everything. Please do me a favor and don't tell me to clear my cache LOL, done that close to 10 times. Our Cable modem fails after being in game for about 4 minutes. Cable company has looked at it and says there is no problem. We've taken our computers to friends houses. Nothing works. Other friends on Second Life are having this same issue. Have they done something that has ruined all this. 2 weeks ago everything was fine. What is going on. It's not our computers, this happened with the server upgrades and with the new browser. Oh by the way did I tell you I cleared my cache?

Saying that your cable modem fails after a few minutes..........does that mean you loose your connection to the servers? That often happens when your modem needs resetting. Did the cable tech who came out power cycle your modem while he was there? You do that by unplugging it for 3 to 5 mins then plugging it back in. And since you said you went to some friends house and they are having the same issue do those friends also have the same cable company as their ISP? Seems sort of weird that only you and your friends are having problems like you say.........especially since it's been going on for a week now. I does not sound like a problem on LL's end to me.
I know you've mentioned you have cleared your cache. Have you manually deleted that folder? You can find the location of the cache file on your computer by the address bar under the "clear cache" button on the network tab in preferrences. The file will be rebuilt the next time you launch SL.
And lay on your ISP......they may be throttling bandwidth in your area. SL uses a massive amount of bandwidth.

When cable came out we replaced the modem, and all the wire. Cable does throttle in this area according to their AUP, but we are on an enterprise program and only use 10% on our allocated bandwidth during the enforcement period. Funny you ask about the cache, one computer was completely reloaded. But they still both act the same. We also own 3 pieces of land all in different regions, and no matter where we are the problem persists. We suspect that there may be a problem with the way packets are exchanged with either the new server software, or the browser. We are trying the 1.22 browser now, not enought time to tell at this point Thanks for the reply too
