I've piled through Google and the forums, and it doesn't look good, but before cutting my loses I thought I'd ask. Is it possible to intergrate the LDAP system with SL?
As in would it be possible for users (students) to log into Second Life using their university login details (stored in a database/LDAP system). If not are there any work arounds at all, or another software/plugs ins that could achieve this?
Thanks in advance.

SL has its own login deal - I think this would be really difficult to do.. This, and the links within it, is probably a good place to start https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=4794. You'll need to create SL accounts for anybody that wants to use the system then have a custom viewer to tie that into your LDAP system. Not sure how (or if) all that would work..
