doesnt work on my new laptop

i tryed to run SL on my new laptop. im not tech savy so i just need to know if the following graphics cards will work.

ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X2500

NVIDIA 8400M . im useing an acer travelmate 5720 with intel cantrino. core2 duo

when i try to logon it gives me this message that say cannot logon from this computer.

You can look here http://secondlife.com/support/sysreqs.php it does say that Radeon isn't supported, and I assume the cards made for laptops may be troublesome. You can also try installing other official and non official clients, there are quite a few now. I have had a few give me troubles on my laptop, but try another version.

are the recommended cards just for desk top or will they work in laptops too. and what one do you use for your laptop?

I'm running on a laptop with a GeForce Go 7900. Unless your cards are specifically listed on the sysreq page, they might not work - laptop or desktop.

please if your trying to help LOOK at the sources

no where on the system requirements page does it say RADEON is flat out NOT supported, infact theres many models on the recommended list

and unless your card is on the "dont even bother" (including SOME radeon mobile models) list at the bottom of the page you should be fine, theres dozens of models and LL cannot be expected to list each and every one


besides the point this message has nothing to do with hardware, it means your ip address / mac address has been blacklisted for some reason, i would call LL
