Stops at 'region handshake' very slow then fails with error message saying we are having trouble connecting , may be your internet ( clearly not!) or the SL servers...
offers teleport option then says ' you have been disconnected from region you were in' CLOSE
over 30 mins so far now.. no mention on site update 50 minutes now.. how long does it take for them to notice?/ 1.5 hours NOW being told logins are restricted due to load 0 how can I pay hundreds of dollars a month and be told i cannot get in??? That's crazy.. restrict the free people first!

Yep I cant get in either and I have my first ever event planned for tonight. I dont care that I cant get my free alt in, but my paying account should be allowed in.
High demand according to the login refusal, but there are only 58K in, a lot less than normal.

You know it took me a while, should have remembered from the last time, Allthough i had to do system restore two times i think that did the trick I'd love to know what sets it off

not to mention ive sent LL 3 tickets already about my problem and they have only answered 2, the 3rd one (that has ALL the information that they asked me to include) has been sent to them about a week ago and i dont know what they are doing but i sure hope it gets answered soon, so in the meantime i would like to at least try and see what i can get from here.

I was using SL from work without any problems, but now, this is the second week, whenever I try to log in I receiv this message exactly at the same point... I tryed also to disable firewall (also if before i was using WITH firewall enabled), but without success... Please can someone help me and/or tell me what to do?

Yeah same thing here. Except i play SL on both my desktop and laptop, and SL works on my laptop barely at 2 fps but it stopped playing on my desktop... and both the desktop and laptop are using a wireless internet connection on the same router and modem. What has gone wrong?

I am having the same problem here all afternoon. EDIT ** My firewall was blocking 8.2.33.169 due to SL violating a snort rule. If your firewall allows you to add IP exceptions try adding this one to see if it fixes the problem. EDIT** 216.82.18.194 as well.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'vee been having this exact problem with this error since yesterday, and quite frustrated with it.
On the odd occasion I have managed to log into SL I can't move, tp, can't chat, and there are various other in-world problems. Tried re-logging only to get the error message again...
I filed a bug report, got one or two suggestions from LL but everything's still the same. SL has full access under my firewall settings. I haven't changed anything to do with SL, or on my computer either. I tried reinstalling. No help. I really don't believe the problem is at the client end...
I would recommend filing a bug report - the more reports they get of this the more chance they'll take notice of it and fix it.
