Oh I hope someone can help me! Im so frustrated, ive tried everything! Ive contacted help by chat, and they said my problem is my wireless connection yet ive used it sense I joined a month or two ago with no problems at all. Then, I submitted a ticket and they simply asked if im using a public computer. Im not, same old connection same old at home with my laptop.
Ive tried so many things. Ive tried turning off my firewall, turning off my virus protection. Ive tried changing my port numbers, ive tried removing and reinstalling SL....twice! Ive tried making a new account, logging in with my Fiance's account. Ive restarted my computer and shut it down a million times, ive restarted my internet connection. I simply cannot understand what's wrong! I just woke up one morning and suddenly it was like this when I tried to log in.
The only odd thing to happen was we lost power, including internet sense the computer with the hub was off too. I had fallen asleep when this happened, and woke up without power or internet. Next morning with power and internet back, everything went screwy.
Here's the exact messege:
Login failed. Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer. If you feel this is an error, please contact support@secondlife.com
Ive tried installing SL on the main computer so I could try logging in, and my old laptop, but the main computer said it can't support the game by the graphics card, and my laptop says there's a problem with the clock. Im trying to sort the clock thing, but im stuck! I can't contact my friends to tell them what happened, and if I don't sort this soon i'll lose my store and OH MY GOSH I need to sort this! Please I hope someone can help!

You need to know the reasons that login could fail. SL should be helping you figure that out. If you can access the rest of the internet, then it is a problem with SL not your wireless. You need to know what the programmer code is asking for.

SL is having issues this morning. They said it is fixed but many still seem to be having problems... http://status.secondlifegrid.net/As for the clock, make sure the clock at the bottom right is set and the date and year is also correct. Just double click on the time and it will bring up the calander and time adjustment screen. Make sure it is current.

Thanks for taking the time to help everyone!
Here's an update:
I fixed the clock on my other laptop, and tried logging in. I got the exact same messege on that laptop too, logging in with my current account and the new one I made in desperation. So, this laptop and my other laptop are giving me the same messege for two....actually three accounts, sense my Fiance let me try his account too.
I don't think it is SL....unless im blocked somehow. But I figured support would have mentioned this, or I would get a clear messege saying im blocked. I have used the chat to ask for help, and also submitted a ticket. I haven't gotten a reply on my ticket sense they asked me to check my diagnostic logs. I sent them the files and wrote an update....arg it's so hard to be patient!

Yes the reason I am here is although I can get in, I cannot go anywhere. But it is not a login issue.

" Login failed. Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer. If you feel this is an error, please contact support@secondlife.com"
that msg. means your computer or network is blocked /suspended, that is why it states contact if you feel it is an error. could your fiance done something?
I would send an e-mail and call again if your not back up. being on wireless and SL don't work supper well, and it is possible someone used your IP wireless account and did something causing you to be suspended/banned. hence why support asked if you were on a public computer.

What kind of video card or integrated video do you have on your main computer?
On your clock's, did you check the month and year? (People have reported your problem and thought they had the date right but had the month or year wrong.)
Does email to support@secondlife.com still work at all or is that an obsolete error message?
I do agree that based on that message you need to contact SL again, possibly by phone in addition to other means

I always get "corrected" on this but I'm going to say it again. If you are on a wireless network connection (or even on just a wireless modem connection), someone who is within your modem/router's wireless range can "piggyback" on your connection. They can access the internet on your connection (they don't gain access to your computer or even your network but they have access to the internet via your ISP). Your ISP does not know the difference.....it allows it. If that someone happens to be on SL and they do get banned it is very possilble you will be banned too.
Something to think about for the wireless users. No matter how much they taut the "security" of wireless with all the enccryption it's still possible for someone close to your location to get access to your ISP connection..........encrycted just like you.

I use them because theirs are both better connections from that spot LOL
