How do i create an avatar?

This is probably a stupid question with an obvious answer,but i have just registered and i am only a basic member,can i still create an avatar etc?

On my main page it has nothing about creating anything,anytime i go to create an avatar its just like advertising second life,its not actually giving me any options,also this is the same as visiting different islands,apparently i should be visiting orientation island but i dont know how!

Avatar creation is a an easily available function inworld. Once you go in, you'll see yourself as one of the defaults or library avatars. You will arrive in a help or orientation area and have the option to work on your appearance while you're there. (^_^)

Now... Don't expect to be able to "perfect" your look on the first day. At least.... Not without monies. There is a lot you can do for free, and "freebie" searching is a great activity when you first join. You'll see in time all the things possible... Day 1, week 1, month 1... It's still pretty early. I still make touchups to my shapes once in a while. (^_^)

And, basic member can do just about anything except get most ticket support and own mainland. With the amount of estate land available, that's hardly a problem. (^_^)

As somebody said, open the library, its at the bottom, open the clothing files and just drag things onto yourself. Find a look you like and there you go. Also look for free clothes, I have over 100 boxes of free stuff on my sim, just search down Carnivale Freebee Cave, its listed in search. And Yadni's Junk Yard is amazing as well. Tonnes of free stuff there.

It doesn't sound as if she has even downloaded/installed the viewer, folks.
