How do I log of account that didnt log off propley

Hi I'm trying to log on to SL but It won't let me. The measage is saying that SL is trying to log me off. I have talked to frends by phone who say I was logged on all night. How do I log off so I can log back on again. Please help

Send in a support ticket requesting a sim restart to fix a ghosted avatar. A forced Linden tp also fixes it, I hear. It used to be that IMing a ghost, or paying it a L would shift the sim into gear so it realised it had work to do; nowadays those things don't seem to work, however.

You could try (if you haven't already) logging into a different sim, but usually only a sim restart fixes the problem.

Hi I have tryind to submit a ticket to SL but the page wont load up it says the was a error How else can I contact SL to report the problem. I will get a mate to pay me some money and maybe that will get something happing. Thanks for your help

I've got the same problem as Zuel. Just used my alt to see if I was showing online, and I am. Tried sending an IM and paying myself some money, but neither worked. Already raised a ticket, but LL support seems to be in a different time zone, so I have to wait hours to get a reply. Also IM'd the sim owner via my alt in the hope that I can trigger a restart that way.

Are there any other possibilities for fixing this?

lol i get that messedge alot, what i do is i just keep the enter button held down or keep pressing it intill i DO Log on and i eventualy get in

I went in as my alt, and managed to get someone to reset the sim I was last in, but no luck. I then got him to log in as me, from his computer. This worked - I was able to then log in usng the prmary account, log out, change password, log in again. I flew about in my plane, with the alt as passenger, and everything was fine.

Then, I logged out and did other stuff for a few hours. I come back, and find that the problem has returned. Earlier, I had set things up so that I and my alt could each see each other's location on the map. I went in as my alt, and located the primary avatar - it was miles away, seemingly at the extreme bottom-left location in the grid of sims, in an invalid location.

This time, when I sent an IM from alt to primary, the primary was immediately flagged as offline, and that the message would be stored. Thinking this had cleared it, I tried to log in as the primary. No chance. Same problem persists. Cleared the cache, tried several times, nothing.

As a matter of interest, what do I have to do to get a response out of support in more timely manner than 10 hours and counting? So far, the 'service' has been 100% useless - amountng to being advised to 'clear your cache' 26 HOURS ago. It's been 10 hours since I sent an update, and still no response.

This rash of ghosting is at least in keeping with Hallowe'en.

Nomad, maybe your friend is using a different client - I don't know why that would change things (cleaner closure?) but I might as well grasp at straws ;-D So change client (RC or Nicolaz, or what-have-you.

I wonder if getting rid of your settings.xml would change anything.

Try logging in to a different sim.

Try logging in to Aditi and see if you can do that.
