Hiya all,

Just recently, there's been something 'strange' going on regarding the swans that I have placed on the lake in the open-sim I'm living at. I placed them several weeks ago and there they all were swimming around quite happily.. But recently, the two cygnets have been 'returning' to my lost and found folder.. So I place them out again, and perhaps a few days later one or the other has yet again returned... Not really a life-changing issue...lol but I'm very curious as to why and if anyone has any ideas as to the cause... I'd be most interested in hearing them.... (no 'Hitchcock' jokes please :D :D )

Maybe they are impatient, waiting for their parents to fly south for the winter?

I suspect it has to do with Havok 4.... it does some strange things. Are you able to convert the scripts to Mono? If you are able, try openning the scripts and see if the content appears, if it gives you a notice that 'not found in database' I suspect they are running on compiled versions and the base code has been 'lost' by LL. This happened to us several times. It was explained, in a recent upgrade to the database, some scripts/objects were renamed, but the link between the new name and the actual script/object has been 'lost'. Sorry.

It could also have to do with parcel return with your neighbours. The child prims that follow the 'Mother prims' may stray mathematically, outside your parcel and are being returned. It may also be due to them ghosting.... Overall, its just another LL screw up.

EDIT: Buy them some knitted socks, see if that works. :)
