Hi all! Running 1.19.1.RC3 (Release Candidate - latest version). My Camera Control Hud has dissapeared!! It is selected in the drop down menu (marked X) but no longer appears on screen! Tried de-selecting and re-selecting..but no change. Also this happened during the last version of RC...even installing the latest version has not solved the problem! So...I figure I have done something!! Some keyboard shortcup that hides the hud? Some preference setting I have done wrong? Appreciate any suggestions!!! I REALLY miss it!! Thanks!!  |

Look carefully along the edges of your screen. It may be pushed 99% off-screen. If your SL window isn't as large as it could be, maximize it.

Either change/reduce the UI scale to make more screen space and see if it has dropped off the visible window, or.. (this can be harder), wear another HUD with the camera controls enabled as well, edit the other HUD (right click and choose edit), now scroll backwards, you will see a yellow square getting smaller and SL getting wider/taller, the yellow square represents the actual viewing window, what you are seeing now appearing around it as it gets smaller is, the off screen real estate of the client, see if the camera controller has slipped into this outer region, if it has, grab it and drag it back inside the yellow box, then close the edit window.....  Failing that, you may have a corrupt settings.xml file. Uninstall all SL versions, and delete all folders in C:/Documents and Settings/<your system login named folder>/Applications/Secondlife/.. then reinstall a new copy of SL. That will refresh all files. Note: SL will now consider you a newb, so your preferences/settings will all be lost and require you to reset them all.
