Someone...help...x.x This happens constantly, and I'm getting "Generic Host" and "wuauclt.exe" errors...my Windows Live Messenger is also constantly crashing. My other 3D games also have the same problem as SL. Random graphical explosions of long, splintery, jagged edges everywhere....and eventually, a complete system crash, including a pleasant BSOD or auto system restart. I've been to multiple forums, tried system restore, CHKDSK, Defragging, reinstallation...nothing's working at all. If anyone has had this problem before, please help. X.x

hey dude. I was having similar issues...........MORESO after i installed the latest SL veiwer. Try getting the lastest drivers for the video card. and do all the windows updates. For someunknown reason windows live has never been stable for me too, however it helped when i uninstalled it and then re downloaded to the latest build. Oh and do a registry clean afterwards.

hope this helps Thanks for your input...I've also talked with some people over at MajorGeeks.com (awesome place for computer help and loads of Windows utility softwares there), and they've been helping me quite a bit. But I may have found the solution myself... After becoming increasingly frustrated, I turned off my computer, unplugged it, and dismantled it. I pulled out my graphics card and RAM sticks. After cleaning them off a bit (they were quite dusty), I waited 10 minutes and then plugged them back in. After that, I turned it on and everything was fixed.... But I don't have my hopes up completely. I've done a number of things, and each time it worked, a few days later it started failing again...So we shall see..... But again, thank you for your input. I had already done what you had stated though, heh. If you're having the same problem, then I suggest doing what I did...JUST MAKE SURE TO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR RAM STICKS. I always worry about breaking them while pushing them into their slots x.x...
