The links on the second life website that begin with secondlife: don't work on the mac. I tried to add a handler application using the preference pane, more internet. It almost worked, but said that sl didn't have a creator code. Is there any other way to get the weblinks to work?

bump. This is a very old thread of mine, when I first signed up. Know those Secondlife:// links on the website. The ones, when you click 'em, they open the cordinates in SL Viewer? These don't appear to work. Do these work on the pc?

Yes, they do work on the PC. Unfortunately I don't know how to set them up to work on the Mac. Actually I don't even know how they're set up on the PC, but it is some integration with Windows and how it handles URLs, perhaps something registry-related.

Sorry! The new version of SL fixed this and I am using them all of the time in my weblog. But thanks anyways.

No problem, I have been out for the weekend and have not tried the secondlife:// handlers on the Mac. Will try now though
