Heya,
Well, just as the title says, I have some major issues with my keyboard upon closing Second Life. First of all, I am unable to use Alt + Tab, which is important for me since I have disabled the taskbar on this computer. The other problem with my keyboard, which I have sort of fixed, is when I log out, the numpad 8 key was acting as though it was constantly depressed. It made typing either difficult, or impossible, depending on if I turned Num Lock on or off.
I've tried various things in the hopes of fixing this issue. I have remapped my keyboard so as to disable my numpad 8 key, (I figure the nuclear method would be best until I fix this) I have killed Explorer and restarted it a few times, (I knew this likely wouldn't do anything anyways, I just figured I'd give it a try) and I took the batteries out of my keyboard and plugged them back in as a hard reset.
Since those last two didn't work, I'm fairly certain that this is a software issue that has to do with the game, and not my operating system. (Windows XP Professional SP2) I browsed the forums to see if anyone else had a similar issue, but found nothing. So if anyone else had any similar problems, or feel that hey have some sort of solution, please post it here. The only way to really fix it is to do a hard restart of my desktop, which is a pain in the butt, really. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. - I can include system specs upon request.

Why wait for a request?
What brand and model number of computer are you using?
What brand and model number of keyboard?
What language is the keyboard?
What exactly did you do when remapping the keyboard?
Have you tried different batteries?

Why wait for a request? For what? ._.;;; Sorry, I'm not quite with it today. I actually fixed it, not only was the 8 key being depressed, but also my right Alt button. XP There's no brand name or anything, unless you want serial numbers for all the parts that I used to build this thing. >.> The model number of the keyboard is 7570900052607, Microsoft's wireless set, that came with the mouse. That could very well be the problem, it IS Microsoft. The language is English, because I suck at any other language, unfortunately. ;_; The program that I used to remap the keyboard can be found at Shell Extension City. I've used it plenty of times before, so it's fine. Anyways, I just disabled the keys that give me the problem, it's a lot easier to kill keys than I never use than it is to really work this out, I think. I...Man, I need new batteries in this thing. XP Like, desperately. This thing has been stupid for months because of that, they're nearly dead. I know that's not the problem, though, otherwise it would have been doing this long before now an a hard restart of my computer wouldn't fix it. Anyways, I've done what I can, and it works. I'm content with the way it is, I wish I had thought to check the Alt key before posting, but eh. I dunno if it's a major issue for anyone else, though, so I hope that, if it is, that they find some answers. Thankies. ♥
