I crashed during teleportation and now SL wont let me log in anymore. The game client keeps freezing at the "contacting user server" part of the startup  Sometimes it will just go back to the login screen , other times it completely freezes What can I do ? |

This is also happening to me. I crashed randomly while dancing and now it is frozen at the retrieving inventory and wont move any further. Tried rebooting, even uninstalling and reinstalling. Running on 512ram, 2.4ghz proc, win xp, latest drivers for my nvidia 64mb card... I am also afraid since I uninstalled/reinstalled... is all the things I had acquired in SL gone now? (oh please say they arent)  |

I am having the same issue I think that this is somthing with the login server but well see this may not be a local computer issue

I seem to be falling into the same problem.
But nothing 'crashed', I just disconnected earlier today, and now it hangs at prepping inventory.
update:
Okay, it *really* hangs prepping inventory, but then it trys user server.. and then dumps me back to login.

They aren't, Genesis. Your stuff in world is stored on a server remotely from your computer. Your clothes and items will still be there for you.
i am getting this exact same thing, actually. Same timing, too - i crashed on teleport and now the program itself is 'not responding' during the inventory retrieval. It's not the web, the internet, or the server - it's the program freezing up.
Reinstalling over the existing game isn't helping, so i've uninstalled it and reinstalled a fresh version. No Dice.

Ya I really dont think that it is our problem I had loged out normally (if there is such a thing). I really think that this is somthing to do with the login server

I too am now having same problem i was in game went to TP somewhere and crashed and now can't get back in - its stuck at Preparing Inventory for me....

Im pretty sure the some server hanged up and the engineers are fixing the problem.  ( linden(s) reading this: I bet you were going to say that  ) Just give it a while. |

I too am also having the same problems. However, I didnt crash while teleporting. As a matter of fact, I couldnt teleport at all. I decided to relog and then that is when I ran into my second problem. Hence the reason I'm here...

Cleared cache and rebooted a million times, uninstalled and reinstalled.. still freezing on "preparing inventory".. I am kinda glad it isn't just me however.
