Anyone else having trouble contacting the User Server?

I've been trying to log on & haven't been able to get passed the "Contacting User Server" portion of the Logon sequence. It hangs for a while & bombs back to the login. Just wondering if it's just me, or if others are having the same problem.....

It's working now, but.....

I'm back on but my AV now is back to default. I don't mind the fact that I now look like a woman, but am wondering if this will keep happening. A lot of my textures are distorted also. The default texture is now semi transparent & the blue plasma one applied to previously created objects is very dull.....

Yeah, connection problems on and off, some times User Server, sometimes Registering Agent.

Also, buying land, setting landmarks, making object, opening/saving scripts, are all going really really slow, and sometimes aren't working at all.

Just a guess but is 0.2.2 comming out soon? ;)

Rebooting seems to have fixed it, but it could have just taken that long for something to reset on the server side.

Note: Rebooting only fixed the login problems, the in world problems are still there.

with the long / hanging login, etc.

also giving a texture to another person wasn't working

still had the mondo packet loss issue in the welcome area's Sim, as well as the gift exchange area's Sim :(

no packet loss at all on my home Sim

little bit of intermittent lag on Welsh, but honestly just a *little* bit

ive had probs too

tonight had several issues :(
first of all, I didnt stray from "home"until the last 1/2 hour I was on, and I had bouts of lag and sluggishness. Then, I was going through my inventory to delete unneccessary objects (I keep a copy of each piece as i build stuff) and when I'd drag it into the "world", the object in question would never show up. Same thing with trying to create an object at *certain* times. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. A few of the times, I *think* I was charged for the items, and others I wasn't. I did find one of my missing objects though, in a neighboring Sim, by a lake & a gallery in the air. I think that tonight was a bad night for any bandwidth whatsoever. Q3 was sluggish, too. Oh well, this whole thing is still amazing as it is! Hope I'm helping :)

On Wednesday, 12/18/2002 we were having fairly severe back-end problems that could result in:

A) Inability to log on, sometimes.

B) Textures not streaming down.

C) Outfits not streaming down.

We're still working on some of the issues that lead to this problem -- others have been fixed. Please let us know if this starts happening again. My apologies if you lost data because of it.
