I would like to link up my build but keep getting the message that it can't be linked either because I have non modifiable items or that objects are locked. I'm pretty sure I took down all the non modifiable items but how do I find the objects that are locked? My build is made of 100s of pieces and I locked a bunch of individual pieces long ago. Alternatively, is there any way to just tell the linker to link everything it can and leave the locked items in place?

I'm not like 100% certain on this - it used to be the case but I havent actually tried it all that recently... Assuming you own all the pieces and have the rights to unlock them... select the whole darned lot, the locked, the unlocked - everything you want to link - and click the lock button. It'll cycle variously between gray, on, off and - which is to say 'some locked', 'all locked' and 'none locked'. Basically, if you tick the box when you have partially locked bits out of the ones you've selected, it just reapplies your new setting to all of 'em. Or it did before 1.4. Anything is possible by now - dunno, cuz I can't build since 1.4.

And try turning on "Selected Only My Objects" from the Tools menu before you select. There may be someone else's prims in there. (Invisible stray bullets, for example.)
