My wife was wearing this red polkadot shirt and black shorts last night, she changed her outfit last night but for some reason it still showed her wearing her original outfit. We tried both clearing our cache, relogging taking the clothes on and off, still didnt work so we said ok it will probably fix in the morning. We wake up, still like that. She sees herself wearing her new outifit, i still see the same one from yesterday. She tried rebaking textures and clearing cache many times. Anyclue whats wrong?

My partner has the same problem. The same thing happens if she changes skin. It appears to be texture based items (clothing and skins) that aren't working properly. Prim clothing attaches and detaches without problems. We've been working for a couple of hours to try to find a way to fix this.

Could be video card or network problems. The way clothes work, they get downloaded to you, then they're run through an OpenGL program to "bake" them... combine the textures using your video card, and then the resulting layers are uploaded back to the sim for other people to see.

There are, clearly, a number of places this clever scheme can fail. :D

I had this happen last night, nothing had changed in my running environment. I have re-opened Jira VWR-14463, and linked a few similar reports to it. Please consider voting for it if you are having this issue.

For my partner this appears to be an avatar based issue. Using the same PC/client software an alt can change skin/clothes, but her main avatar can't do.

Hmmm. Then her avatar might be a little borked (SL's fault).

Has she tried re-initializing her main avatar? She can start all over by choosing Advanced-Character->Character tests->Test female --- that will give her the default "Ruth". Then re-wear her normal shape, skin, etc.

She's tried the test avatar and that doesn't help.

this is gonna sound weird as heck but it worked for my BF he was having the same issues everytime id change (and thats allot) h e would see sometimes 2-3 outfits behind. He went to help island and they told him to go up under groups.. Change your active group to NONE hit apply then you can go back and reactivate the group you had before.. then have her rebake or clear your cache and it works for us.!!

If anyone knows the solution to this, please PLEASE IM me. I have been working with LL techs etc and it has been going on for months. I have tried to get hold of Jandid and no response. I suspect it is a product of the Emerald viewer (EVIL). Please if anyone has any information...IM me or drop me a notecard. (IM's get eaten sometimes and if you have the solution I don't want it capped!)

I deleted my cache btw and it didn't work.

Thank you!

test avatar from the advanced menu? I don't think that effects the game. You need to change the assets the avatar is using.

If you go to the emerald viewer website there is a fix posted for this.

This was an issue which is posted on the Emerald viewer's main website. They put a wrong file in the avatar folder. It's an easy fix. I had this problem too but I found the solution on the site.

Tell me about. I see myself fine, but everyone else sees me with the same oufit I had on for the last 2 or 3 days. No matter what I do (change my clothes, rebaked, edited appearance, get naked, unabled "dynamic textures", cleared the cache, use a different SL client and used a different computer) nothing works. Everyone still sees me with the same darn outfit I was wearing 2 or 3 days ago and not what I see myself wearing.

It's not just Emerald viewer because I have snowglobe and it's happening to me. It happened to a friend of mine also. I don't know what else to do. I've run out of options really but refuse to change my avatar. I have too much invested in this one.

This is what I do when I have "the blacks":

Edit appearance.
Wait for the clothes to rez in appearance mode.
Hit "rebake textures".
