Prim Reverting?

Everytime I make an adjust to a prim (-A- prim, ie: one.), whether it be a simple shift copy or rotating or slide/move, the prim jumps about from one area to the next. It'll move fine and appear to be stationary, but right when I'm ready to make the next adjustment, it hops back to it's previous position. It happens to any and every change I make. It eventually does stick, but only after having to reposition it 4 or 5 times. I'm trying desperately to animate something at the moment, so for the prims to be constantly reverting... not so much fun or time efficient.

I'm not sure if this happens regularly, I've only had it happen to me once before months and months ago but it went away after a night or two. I've tried waiting it out a week now and it still persists. I thought maybe it was a lag in my sim, so I tried several sandboxes and rezzable areas, and it's all the same. Is it my machine? It's a new one from when it happened last year, and it's much more efficient internally then the old computer, so I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the cause other then SL just being, well, SL.

Anyone can help?

I thought this was usually caused by the sim lagging, though I guess it could be because you're lagging..

How's your network connectivity? Are you using wireless? Have you tried unplugging power from _all_ your network gear for a few minutes?

hmm, no, haven't tried unplugging anything, thought it was inworld. I did turn my network down from 1500, figured that may be it. Let me try reconnecting and reseting everything. (Am using wireless / laptop)

See how it behaves after a nice power cycle - if it's still giving you problems I'd try connecting directly, instead of wireless, and seeing if that helps.

:)

Wireless is notorious for being a drama queen with SL...
