Xmas day the sim my house is on was down. I don't remember the name of it but im sure everyone will figure it out easily.

The bug report is as follows...

I went to upload sounds and had trouble with sound files just a touch under 10 sec. and when I can upload sound files the SL client wont release the file within windows so it can be moved or deleted.

We've located and fixed the problem with the client not releasing the file. Look for it in our next major release (0.3, not our interim patches).

Regarding your other issue, could you elaborate on "I went to upload sounds and had trouble with sound files just a touch under 10 sec."

Were you doing individual uploads or a bulk upload? What bitrate? Did you get an error dialog? (If so, what did it say?) Did you get the dialog asking for a title/description/bitrate? Did you get the "uploading <filename>" dialog? Did the sound appear to upload but not show up in your inventory?

In short, what was the "trouble", and how was it different from a normal (successful) sound upload?

DOH! sorry about that, I should know better then that.

The "troubles" that I reffered to are as follows:

It seemed that anything between 9.8 to 10 sec got this error "fail to read anyfile.wav, upload failed. nNot exactly quoted word for word but that is the gist of it. Also as I use sound Forge to edit and convert all my wavs, they were at the right specs. All other wav's I edited in the same fashion successfully uploaded:

8bit, mono,44,100Hz, PCM

(error didn't say anyfile.wav just an example)
