Problem with game resolution not staying in 1024x768, in Display Resolution preferanc

Went thru my preferences in UI & noticed that instead of the old display resolution of 1024x768 that I have always used while running in windowed mode (also my PC's display resolution) its showing 800x600. So, I try to change it back, click off run in window & reset the window size to 1024x768, which I always thought was the default window size of game.

Anyway.. once I change it & recheck run in window, nothin happens when I click on Apply button. It won't save. So, I did a complete uninstall, defrag & reinstall... game reinstalls at 1024x768, so I make all my pref changes, including run in window, apply & restart.....check prefs & the darn thing has reset itself to 800x600 & I can't get it to change & save back to 1024x768.

Double checked & my desktop resolution (onboard nvidia) 1024x768, so this is not the problem... I'd be able to see if it was 800x600 anyway.. but I checked lol

Never had this occurr before 1.5... has always stayed at 1024x768 just fine. One thing that is weirder is that I am not noticing the game is actually running in 800x600, seems to me the difference would be quite visibly different, much as my desktop is.

So is anyone else having THIS same problem?

My resolution setting has ALWAYS displayed 800x600, no matter what the window size really is if I'm in windowed mode. I can resize the window to whatever size I want (including, I suppose, 1000x100) and that pull-down menu will stay the same. The reason it's greyed out like it is is because it only affects full-screen resolutions.
