Second Life fading out

Hello,

I am a content creator in Second Life. My most popular object is an old retro TV set, with an Atari 2600 attached to it.
The TV is scripted to stream a selection of YouTube clips from the 1980's. It's a nostalgic thing and has been selling quite well.

However with the latest server "updates" the TV has been working less and less. Until now, in this latest "update", it is no longer working at all.

It seems to me that Second Life has become too unstable for content creators to bother with it anymore.

As a content creator I must warn Linden Labs, that you are heading down the wrong direction here. Once you pass the tipping point, where content creators no longer see the point in creating anything, your Second Life will be over.

Content creation is the heart and soul of Second Life. And Linden Labs seem to be working hard on alienating all the people who make this thing worthwhile. Without content you have nothing.

So why do you keep making things worse? Every new server "update" you come out with, takes us a step further back. And when this is pointed out to you, in forums and blogs and letters by the thousands, you give us the circling wagons response.

Instead of offering answers, you turn up the fees. Instead of solving issues, you create them.

This is not fitting for a company depending so much on it's userbase.

And your purpose in posting this here was what, exactly? If you want the Lindens to hear you, how about contacting them directly instead of posting in a forum that they do not ever read? Perhaps the "circled wagons" you perceive are simply the inevitable silience that would naturally uccur when one expects a response to what is essentially an unmailed letter.

I would suggest you post an appropriate bug report on the JIRA, if you believe the new server code has broken functionality. Bitching about it here accomplishes nothing.

I always thought Chosen was a he. Use of a vulgar name in a derogatory way is much more effective if you keep the gender correct.

Once again, your purpose in posting was what, exactly? Do you feel that name-calling makes people want to help you? Does it make you feel like more of a grownup?

Look, if you want LL to hear your concerns, I told you how to make that happen. I might suggest you choose your language a little more carefully when you approach them, though. I can't speak for every single Linden, of course, but the ones I do know fairly well tend not to respond when people call them names. You'd do well to leave your temper at the door.

Now, do you have anything to say that actually belongs in this forum, or don't you?
