AGP card interpreted as PCI card...

When I start up Second Life I get a warning that my AGP Nvidia Qudro2 Pro card is only being used in PCI modus, and that I need to upgrade my BIOS.

Now I've both upgraded my BIOS (to the latest available from HP, as it's a HP x2000 workstation), and installed the latest graphic card drivers from NVIDIA, and I still get this message.

Is it possible that Second Life is reading my machine wrong? I have a second PCI Matrox card in the machine, which I usually just have turned off (only use it when doing lots of scripting for work). Might this confuse SecondLife. Or is it possible that my machine actually is running my AGP4x card in PCI modus, meaning all this time I've had a bottleneck in my system.

And, is there any other way to determine if my card is running in PCI or AGP modus?

Cheers,

Little

Some BIOS allow you to set whether you want your PCI or AGP as your primary graphics adapter. Might want to check it.

You may also need to install drivers for your mainboard, if this is a homebuilt computer. Computers from someplace like Dell or HP should already have the mainboard drivers installed.
