Wont Work

I click the desktop icon and the lil technical problem awareness thing pops up then the Crash logger thing, then after that im back at the desktop and...thats it...it just wont lemme play, please help

I tried both then another window comes up saying "Detecting
hardware"
then the crash logger comes up, does its thing then says
done, Then after that im back at my desktop, Nothing
happened

What do i do?

Im sorry your having problems. I dont know what to say to help you with your problem. The only thing that comes to mind, but I may be wrong, is that your system specs are not up to par for SL. The minimum specs are as follows...

PC Requirements:
• Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 2 (32MB RAM) or higher, or ATI Radeon 8500 (32MB RAM) or higher (laptop users: click here)
• Computer: 800MHZ or higher, 256MB RAM or more
• OS: Windows XP/2000
• Internet Connection: Broadband (DSL/Cable Modem/LAN)
• DirectX 8 or 9

If everything is good to go with your system, email [email]support@secondlife.com[/email] . Just explain this issue in the email. I hope you can get it worked out, good luck with getting online. If you get it worked out, please post and let us know what the problem was.

before i moved to this neighbrhood, i played the free trial of SL but now its not working...so it cant be my comp

Yes, it probably is your computer. I made a page to help you figure out what's wrong here.

The likely problem is that you're either running on old video/chipset drivers, or that you're trying to connect on dial-up. My money's on the drivers.
