My stats are below but basically when I get logged in, i disable media and audio as well as voice just because I figured its one more thing to run. But I can get all the way logged in no problem, but after I am in I can see my name bubble but nothing else really, like a bluish green silouette or something....like whats supposed to be there but with the details. Then it will freeze up shortly after. Any suggestions.

Any ideas anyone...I would imagine its a common problem. My machine runs city of heroes just fine though?
Thanks,

I have similar settings except my OpenGL version is 2.0.5288
Try uninstalling SL and reinstall.

I would suggest you start at the SL System Requirements page. http://secondlife.com/support/sysreqs.php All of your system specs are well below the "Recommended" level. Your RAM is at the minimum and your video card is below the minimum. Your video card driver is not the latest version, updating this might help. Unfortunately, to run SL with any degree of good performance, you are looking at a serious upgrade or a new computer. In my experience, the "minimum requirements" for many computer games are barely enough to start the game, once additional information starts to accumulate or additional processes run, the game will crash spectacularly. If there is anyone on the forum running SL on a low-end system, maybe they can offer some tips... but I got nothin... OK, I got ONE thing... you could try the Nicholaz BE-w viewer, it uses a bit less memory and does not have the Windlight features, so may be easier for your system to handle.

well i have been using my 1.9 ghz machine, but it has a gig of ram and a geforce 6600GT in it, with the current client it studders and slows down but for the mostpart 30-35fps is average with a low draw distance and everything else set to half way ..
so if you want to get up to par, without breaking the bank, get more ram (1gb that will work in that machine would probally be 40 bucks) and a better video card (50~100$)
and you will probably notice COH running alot better too
