Okay, remember that I'm not a technical person; but something is wrong with the connection to SL.

While in world, in an empty sim, and it doesn't matter which sim, my firewall is constantly reflecting downloads from SL, even if I'm on a parcel for well over an hour with no changes, i.e., no AV's, no new objects -- the firewall is just zinging with packets trying to come from SL. It's almost as if the packet delivery is in a loop and my cache is continually being updated.

The second problem of late is that when moving in a sim, I frequently see no response from SL, no response from the firewall of additional packets. As if there is a huge latency in my communication to the server and the movement of my AV.

One the flip side, once movement begins, there is a period where the AV is constantly "sinking" into the land for a period of time. By the time I correct this "sink movement" -- I'm in another sim.

Have we installed the "LSD cache" and my connection is just on a psychadelic trip? :)

Interesting Lynn...This am when I was at my land in Kelham i was experiencing very intense packet loss (up to 40%).

It only went away when i flew north past Bodega, and then when i returned to Kelham the loss shot up again. At a minim. i concluded it was not my prefs. or even my ISP, but something to do with the situation inworld.

But don't know for sure....
