Okay....i've sent two distress emails. No response.

I've done everything i know how to do. I've updated my windows software, I've updated my video driver and run the troubleshooting program, i've re-downloaded Second Life. Now the problem is WORSE and i can't even log on.

During the SL installation, I receive an error message:
"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\newview.exe" cannot install. I retry. Nothing. I ignore and try to install everything but that, but the program just keeps trying to re-install. I abort. no good.

Is ANYBODY going to respond to my emails and give me a hand here?

As I posted in the other thread too, how much free HD space do you have? Sounds like you ran out.

have you uninstalled and removed the SL directory manually? It might be a disk space issue as well, beat me to it Si ;-P

Same thing happened to me when I first tried to install. It was a quirk with Windows XP. You can't have any folder or window or anything open that has Second Life for a name when you go to install. It causes a conflict.

I fixed it by downloading and saving the install executable. Then closing every single window, folder, etc, and running install from the 'Run' option on the Start menu.

Maybe this is your problem, especially if you're using XP.

xp is really buggy and seems as if it was made in a rush. It is more vulnerable to things then older windows versions. Try going to Microsoft and download any patches or updates you may be missing.
