If it looks like you can't see as much of the world as before, this is because your "Draw Distance" has gotten set too low.
1.3.3 has a bug where if you open the Preferences window BEFORE logging in, then click OK, it will save your draw distance as 64 meters.
To fix this, go to Preferences > Options and set draw distance to 128.
1.3.4 has a fix for this. My bad, I broke it when putting in the dynamic draw distance code.
