erm hrm,
When you uninstall and reinstall, do you del the whole SL temp files in, as in XP,
C:\Documents and Settings\YourAdminorUserName\Application Data\SecondLife or in Me in Vista?

lalala Trying to keep this open till some one more tech savvy speaks up for you.
Next thought, lag? Yours? Got lots of scripted items on or a rouge one lagging you?
Have you speed line tested yourself?

the problem is not my land or whatever it is .. i have vista home premium and nvidia geforce graphics card , hp laptop .. and i am thinking that is the problem is that graphics card drivers are not compatible with second life for some reason, even tho i updated the drivers for the new updated ones .. still the problem wasn't solved

There are lots of Vista video cards questions and woes over drivers and which to use, Search around on the forum, if that's the case.
A lot of people have sorted it out and have suggestions.

Hmmm when this happens, do you have trouble with voice? Or, does your minimap appear red?

It sounds to me like foehn's initial reaction, that something is wrong with your networking, is closer to correct than any graphic card problem. It seems that you are not fully connecting to sims.

What is your fps (frames per second, you can see them on the status panel you see when you hit ctrl-shift-1)? Are you on wireless? Have you tested your link bandwidth (try http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest if you don't have a different tool you like)? Personally, I need over 300kbps to maintain connectivity to SL. You might see problems like this if you were on a shared link (for example, at school or work), and the available bandwidth fluctuates.

I'll check back later today ...

I'm at a loss, frankly. Your fps is surprisingly high, given your rather low network bandwidth, so it seems to me unlikely that it's your installation. If you're not a Basic member, I'd try to get Linden support involved. I looked on Jira, and there are many bugs that COULD be related, but it's tough to tell.

Other things to try:

> As a test, log in from someone else's computer and network, if you know someone with a good enough rig who would be willing to let you install SL. If you experience the same thing, there may be something funky about your account, or the sims you frequent.

> Try hanging out for a while in an extremely quiet sim (easy to find nowadays!). Something like Hahne was always a good test place ... one of Azure estate's protected sims would also be a good choice. If the problem goes away, then I would suspect that your 355 bandwidth just can't handle busier sims.

> I'm still suspicious of your home network, it really does sound like you have downspikes in network availability that cause random partial disconnection. SL doesn't detect partial disconnections usually, so once you get into that state, the only way out is a relog. This sort of thing could be caused by your antivirus or some other process that ties up your machine - I assume you're not using Norton or McAfee? Have you told your antivirus to ignore SL's cache? Is your PC running periodic file indexing or backup or compression in the background? That sort of thing can cause this.

Good luck!

And, one more thing to try: if your broadband is DSL, try one month at a higher bandwidth rate. If the problem goes away, you have your culprit. 355 is marginal.

thank you for trying to help me .. really it is good to know that there are people out there that are willing to help, from what i see my problem is already on jira here http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9859?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel thats the exact same problem i am facing, but i dont have an acer .. i have an hp laptop with vista 32bit home premium, i sent LINDEN LAB a ticket weeks ago .. and it is still saying work in progress, i have a premium account not a basic one (which makes me wonder if they are late to answer a ticket for a premium account .. when do they answer a ticket for a basic account? ) well anyways i even went into live chat with some of the linden lab support staff and non helped me with it

i googled my problem and i found that there are lots of people that come on second life and they are facing the same exact problem. and just so i can be sure it is not my connection that is the problem, i downloaded another virtual game like second life and i logged in and i didnt see or faced any problem teleporting or any problem what so ever .. and the problem only started happening to me with the lastest 3 updates, how is that possible to happen now and it didnt before if it was my connection ?

and about my anti-virus .. i am not using either one of the anti-viruses you stated i am using AVG

thanks for your help again .
