Hiya. I've just had a GPU upgrade at work to a Radeon 9600 card, and as I'm allowed to log on my lunchbreak I'm looking to find out what's the current recommended config for using this card with maximum speed/features and minimal bugs.
Is there a recommended set of drivers I should be using, or are the 4.3's most workable?
What graphics glitches will I have to live with? I've noticed Wierdness with shine effects atm, which I'd like to sort, but in the fairly-default config there appear be no other issues.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Prior to SL 1.3.x, I would have told you to run the 2004-02-15 4.2 Catalyst drivers, but a client OpenGL selection problem has been fixed and Catalyst 4.3 (2004-03-10) appears to be running cleanly. Expect texture glitches. Expect environment mapping (e.g.: reflectivity) to only map one side of a environmental cube to surfaces. Expect the avatar Vertex Shader to do funny things. Expect AGP mode to be disable (although I don't know what that means; I hope my card is still running 8X AGP!) I'm relatively happy with SL's present ATI support. Once they have environmental reflection mapping working and the texture corruption problem (I understand the latter is a catalyst driver issue) fixed, SL & ATI are looking mostly okay.
