This is strange... the bottom of the page it says vbCode is on... but I'm still seeing vbCode instead of what it should look like. For example, when I use the bold tags, like this: BOLD, I don't see the text in bold, but with the bolding tags around it. Every post on this forum is like this.

What gives?

From my understanding many of the extra features have been disabled years ago. I have never heard any good reason why and every so often a cry in the dark is heard about enabling the features or using a better forum software, but whoever is in-charge of the forums just don't response.

All vb code was disabled about 2 or 2 1/2 years ago. The reason at that time was in preparation for a future forum upgrade. Still waiting for that upgrade.

The forum's vBcode function was disable due to security reasons.

The stickied thread in the Resident Answers forum, "BBCode Emulation in Greasemonkey", at

/327/b2/188445/1.html

has some info that might help you get around the limitations.

Ah, of course they would just disable vbCode instead of updating to the newest vBulliten.
