I've had this problem since about a couple of weeks ago, since I had a message as I logged in saying the clothing I was wearing can't be found, or something similar. Now some of my cloths with short sleeves give me white arms and hands, some over-ride other cloths doing the same (eg: wear a broken T-shirt and my legs and feet go white).
This is also happening with some cloths I bought since the problem started, they turn other parts white, or can't be worn together due to the same thing happening.
Has anyone else encountered this? Anyone have any ideas for a solution? Or is the assett server just getting worse and worse like everything else?
I'm glad I don't buy really expensive cloths, or I would be very cross...

These symptoms sound like you may have an nVidia graphics card with a driver version higher than 175.19. If that is true, then there are 3 possible solutions you can try: 1) Turn off "palletized textures" (Ctrl-Alt-F7), and then rebake the avatar texture (Ctrl-Alt-R). If there is bad lag it might take a minute or two. SL won't remember the setting, so you will need to do it each time you login. 2) Install the SL Release Candidate viewer 1.22, in which the problem is supposedly fixed (you can install it in a separate folder so that you can switch back if you don't like it). 3) Uninstall your driver and install 175.19 driver. Note, there is also the possibility that the particular clothing item(s) are corrupted.
