Hi, Tucker!

I believe the graphics card you are using is WAY below the minimum required to run SL.

You pretty much need a top-of-the-line graphics card to get good performance with SL, as well as a fast CPU and lots of memory.

I suggest you check out the the recommended hardware list on the SL support page.

Sorry! :(

Not sure what you budget is bud, but SL will play great on a Ti4200-4600 GF4 card, and those can be had pretty cheaply now.

I'd recommend a 128MB model at least. Many can be found for $80 or so.

zipzoomfly.com is the old googlegear and they have alot of great prices on their equipment. Another good place is Newegg.com and I have seen some older Radeon 9200's there for 40-50 dollars which in the 128MB + models should be good enough to get you through till Xmas :)

Hope this helps and good luck to you!

These are very sad times to be an American but where is the rage among the citizenry? Where are the flag wavers who so laud the freedoms symbolized by a flag and written by quill pens in our constitution? Why are we not rallying in the streets against this sort of attrocity? Why because we are gluttonous lazy bastards who say it won't happen to me so who cares. --Ishtar Pasteur

Aw, I really wasn't mocking you, I really would enjoy some rainbow sims. I'm not technically inclined, otherwise I would have posted equally brilliant things as those did after me. :)

Make sure you get a card with two graphics ports. They're the same price and there's no reason not to have one, even if you never plug a second monitor into your computer. (Though I have to recommend you do -- only having a single monitor sucks.)
